Rummy Points Calculator

When someone declares, the other players count the cards they couldn't use. Add your cards below to get the exact points, using the best grouping of your hand.

How rummy points are counted

CardPoints
A, K, Q, J10 each
2 to 10Face value
Printed joker and wild jokers0
  1. No pure sequence: every card counts.
  2. A pure sequence but no second sequence: every card except the pure sequence counts.
  3. A pure sequence and another sequence: only cards outside valid sequences and sets count.

A single deal never costs more than 80 points. A wrong declaration is always 80. Drops cost 20 (first drop) or 40 (middle drop), or 25 and 50 in Pool 201. More detail in rummy scoring explained.

FAQ

Why do my sets count when I have no pure sequence?

Without a pure sequence none of your groups are accepted, so all 13 cards are counted. That is why building a pure sequence early matters so much.

Is the Ace worth 1 or 10 points?

10 points, like the King, Queen and Jack.

What if the count is over 80?

It is capped at 80. The calculator shows the raw count too, so you can see how bad the hand was.
